. I am not Catholic, nor am I a saint, but I honor this day anyway. For me, it is a day to celebrate reminders, of lifes little miracles… the blessings of perserverence, the gift of encouragement and reflection or even restraint when it is necessary. My husband is all of those things…and what springs from those efforts is a blossom of unbridled wild success, flowering where it was not planted.
It was a Happy Halloween. We gave out 350 pieces of candy, none of which I ate a bite of!…and the tradition continued. I stood as my alter ego, Snow white. Last year little girls ran up to me, hugged my leg, and squealed with delight. This year little boys said “Thank you, Mrs. Princess Snow white”…but man, I love those sweet angels that came to my door. Not one rude child at all, this year. I had a beautiful time! It truly was a happy Halloween!
